Single folding, general:

These watertight upperdeck hatches are opened and closed by hydraulic cylinders, placed under the arms of the main hinges. SMST also produces very strong and durable hydraulic aggregates and cylinders. In new ships we install the complete hydraulic system for the hatches, which of course is then extensively tested.

Double folding, general:

Just like single folding hatches, these watertight upperdeck hatches are opened and closed by hydraulic cylinders, placed under the arms of the main hinges. After opening the first folding, the second folding is opened by special pressing-arms which are driven by cylinders
