Commissioning Engineer
Job description
As a Commissioning Engineer you will be performing all activities necessary to create a safe test environment. You will be testing and commissioning new installations before they are delivered to the customer. If possible, installations are tested on our quay in Drachten, but sometimes they take place at the customer's location, anywhere in the world. During the commissioning and testing period you will participate in project meetings and be involved in the planning. You will be required to ask for assistance from other departments if necessary, and you provide them with the information they need. In this role you work closely with our other commissioning engineers.
Job requirements
You must have completed a MTS or HTS Education in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. You must have a good knowledge of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software and hydraulics or be willing to learn more about it. Knowledge of PLC is required. You must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
The job requires a flexible disposition. Work at the customer's location anywhere in the world over a period of up to 2 or 4 weeks should be no problem. Due to the nature of our products, you must have a good head for heights, and be in good health.

Functieomschrijving
Je test en stelt nieuwe installaties in bedrijf zowel intern als op locatie bij onze internationale klanten. Tijdens de commissioning en het testen, participeer je actief in het projectoverleg. Je schrijft heldere procedures en rapportages en geeft actief en constructief feedback aan andere afdelingen binnen SMST. Na een inwerkperiode kun je zelfstandig de werkzaamheden verrichten, op basis van een in overleg opgesteld schema. Je werkt nauw samen met onze andere commissioning engineers.
Functie eisen
Je hebt een MTS/HTS opleiding richting werktuigbouwkunde en een aantal jaren relevante werkervaring. Je hebt kennis van hydrauliek en elektrotechniek. Kennis van elektrische besturing is een pré. Werken op locatie bij de klant waar dan ook ter wereld voor een periode van 2-4 weken moet geen probleem zijn. Je hebt een "hands on" mentaliteit, beheerst de Engelse taal in woord en geschrift en bent een teamplayer. Ook ben je communicatief vaardig en in staat een klein team aan te sturen.
